This is the end...

Well, to be very very honest with you guys, my English here at Universidad de Chile didn't improve so much. But if you had studied English in another carrer like translation, that is very normal. Nevertheless, this course made me get better my writting, above all with this blog. It is in this opportunity when I realize as useful could be a blog. This kind of situations make you feel stronger to read even a web page or a paper and doments tha you could find very interesting to yours activities or likes. However, my weakness still is my speaking and that's because I'm very shy to talk laud in another lenguage, even in Spanish some ocations. Although, I have many friends that talks a lot in English, but I even see them, so i don't have this chance. Recently, when I worked in a thater, a french man came to me talking in some kind of werid English, So I thought that I never could learn a entire lenguage; always can be some kind of dialect or different speech and it is imposible to understand any kind of people of the world. For that I only can see series, movies and tv programs in my home.

Finally this is my last semester of Englesh lessons, so maybe I have to create a way to practice the idiom because is a tool for our development in the designer area. Always it could be someone or something interesting in inglish, after all is the official lenguages in the world... lucky for me it's not chinese hahahaha.

Well, I expect that this semester have a happy ending to me and have my well-earned summer vacations. My greeting for all of you... to the next time!

A very fast Horse year

This year has been a little crazy, maybe beacause on the chinese horoscope the horse was the king, and I think this horse was a such obstinate. Although, like very year, it had good things a bad things too. I will start with the bad ones, because I'll feel happy at the end writting the good ones.

Well, it was a coincidence that the first part of the year was such a disgusting cycle. At the university I had very few signatures, so it was really silly came to here for 2 hours, plus 2 hours more on the bus. Then, my grandmother got very sick and, at last she died on july. This was very sad to my family, especially to my mom. After that, she got very sick too, and finally she got into a surgery. I living with my boyfriend and he got very sick too, so i had been a nurse for several weeks. Finally, I'd start a new semester at the university, but I was very nervous because I took a signature for second time. At least this last one it was a very good experience.

Ok, it was a very long year to me, but some good things happened like the arrive of my litlle dog named Diana to my home. She was living with my boyfrined parents' house. However she is living with us now and it brought so much happiness to us. Also, I recently participated on a design at the university festival named Victor Jara, and it was a very good experience, very funny and interesting. We didn't win, but we had a very great time... and some sleepy too, hehehehehe.

Unfortunately, the year has not over yet and anything could happpen, but I feel optimistic and I hoe that this year has a very good end. In the end it's something about everyone's point of view.

The Caracoles

Every year I travel by land to Argentina to see my father that lives there. So, I take a bus and go through the Los Andes mountains. That takes five or six hours to arrive at Mendoza. Maybe people find this travel very interesting, but I have passed all my life from one country to another, so I was bored all the day that takes. However, there is one place on the trip that makes me with goosebumps. That place is named “Los Caracoles”, or something like “snails”. It is a part of the way that get many curves and steep at the same time. Sometimes you can see a sign that has a number of the curve and could get to more than 30 curves.

But the return is worst. The side of chilean mountains is more precipitous than argentinian side, so, when come back to home and take the bus we know what kind of experiences is waiting for us... go down to the Caracoles. It is seems like you get down very close to the edge of a cliff every curve, 30 times! Also you can see other buses and cars very close underneath you, it is very scared. You can see that every minute your bus could fall off the precipice.

Obviously there are many accidents because some people go to fast and many kinds of trucks go through this way, the principal route between Argentina and Chile, so if you can go for this way take it easy and breath deeply.

Yummy places

Lately,there are many places to eat like reastaurants or bars in Santiago. For many years, those restaurants just have had only typical chilean cuisine, but since some years many of places with and without delivery comes from anywere, like chinesse food, italian food, peruvian food and, of course, the japanese food.

And I don´t know why, but my favourite is this typical japanese roll with some fish with vegetables, rice and some other souces like soy or sweet and sour. Although, there are many japanese restaurants with many other types of rolls. Here in Chile, the sushi or rolls are made with fish too, but the cookers put them some chilean ingredients like avocado or cream cheese.

However, my favourite place to eat many sushi with very high califications and a good price is “Niu Sushi”. I always call them when I want sushi because they have a very good delivery sistem. Also they have some other yummy food like Gyozas, Ball crabs, Yakitori and Teriyaki and, finally, my perdition... sushis for deserve... yes, some type of invented sushi made from ice cream, Oreo cookies and cheesecake... oh God, they're so incredible that I think I wanna call them now.

Nevertheless, if you don't like fresh fish or those oriental weird combinations, the best place to go with friends and share greats moments is “Los Insaciables”. It's an italian restaurant, but the principal special of the house is PIZZA!. If you go in the afternoon you could eat all the slice of pizza you want for just one price. They're delicious. I totally recommends you go arround 7pm, a great idea for happy hour.

My ideal future job

First of all I want to say that I am a nightly person, like a owl hehehe. It's incredible how I try to sleep early at night, but my nature is very strong and always I sleep late. Sometimes I have had some problems with my boyfriend because that reason. Whatever, I need some kind of job that I can work late at night, above all because my creativity increase in that moment.

In the past I have worked teaching spanish to a japanesse kids and traslating some documents. By the way, all those job I've worked were when I studied translation, but, to be honest the teaching is not my strong point.

So, after to be 4 years studiying Scenography, I realized that is my ideal job... I think so. I always want a job that make me dream and, that dream become true on the stage ( or tv and movie set). Also, I have almost 30 years old, so I'll have family proyects. I don't want to be an ausent mother, my mother was in home on my childhood and I have the most happy memories of that and I want to do the same. Working on a theatre is very stimulating, I already worked twice and I want to do it again, I love create costumes and design. I really hope to find some kind of job allow me to grow like a professional as far as mother and women. Surely it takes some time, nothing is so easy, but I'll try everything tome this true.

The best concert EVER!

In 2010 my favorite band came on tour to Chile. Rammstein is a German metal music band that I’ve been listening since I was 16. When I knew that they were coming, I bought the tickets with my boyfriend and we wait until the show date. Because I had been at university just that day we had a rehearsal in an exam project, so at 5 pm I was free to go to the concert. I was so excited and anxious that I don´t remember how I arrived to La Florida Stadium in one hour. Most of the people already was going to that place, so I had not to wait so much.

Later that evening, the concert started with and amazing gigantic German flag on the front of the stage that fell down when they started to play. As usual on theirs performances, along the music was played, some fireworks and flame-throwers shine on their own right. The band always have had those spectacular visuals effects on stage and videos.

Even now I think it was one of the most amazing moments of my life and I´m still waiting that they could come back to Chile. If it does not happen, I need to fly to Germany, and that could be even more amazing that watch them in Chile.

Planning my future

It is difficult to think what kind of life I wanna have. After so many time studying, the moment I'll be out of the university is closer and closer that I can't imagine what kind of life I'll have. But I do know what I want to do, and there are so many things that sometimes I get down; others get me excited.

The design career offers you an incredible amount of options that it could be very difficult to get just one. The most normal decision is continue your studies to a master degree or something like that. However, at my age I want to get a job immediately because I want to live my own with my boyfriend and start a family together; to have a baby, our house, and so on. Maybe, after some time try to study something shorter than a career, maybe some workshops or a seminar of something related to my work or the theater.

Nevertheless, I like the idea of getting some job in other country, something to I can realize a very personal dream about my life, something to fulfil myself with. Well, we will see what kind of sorprise I wanna find out, because not always you get what you dreamt. Finnaly, what is a happy life?
